Picture Book Process

My first picture book as author/illustrator is now out. It is an interactive book with a madlib element. I don’t remember the first seed moment for this book but it was many years ago. One of those things I worked on and then put away and then found again. The one thing that remained through various drafts and attempts was the madlib element, someway to ignite and delight the readers imagination and have them become the storyteller with me.
